As the title suggests, throughout the film I questioned myself and put the same question to the audience - where do we come from? And where are we going? Science teaches us that everything in the world is counting down to a unit of measurement called ’life span’. When individuals, species, civilisations and the universe do not even exist forever, what is the meaning of our existence? Is death the end of nihilism or, as those beautiful religions say, the beginning of another world? And what are we believing when we try to believe in afterlife? It is worth noting that it was not until I reached the last interview with a religious person that I realised that all three contributors had had a materialist or other religious background. They had all experienced similar reflections and autonomously chosen to join a religion. I think this is why their tone was most convincing to me.
