After a big fight, teenage girl Lucie steals her boyfriend’s dearest motorcycle for revenge. She rides out into town but later realizes the journey might be easy to start but hard to end…‘Lucie’ is a realistic coming-of-age drama about a teenage girl’s dilemma of freedom pursuit. Teenage years are messy. Especially for girls. They put themselves in risky situations, because there is such a strong desire to be free and desirable. The film is Ran Li’s diploma film at Prague Film School. It took half year to make from story initiation to post production completion. In order to keep it authentic and truthful, Ran chose to work with non-actors, as well as to shoot with portable camera with hand-held style and mostly natural lighting to accommodate the spontaneity of her actors. And most cast and crew members are director’s friends. They joined the film based on their trust in the story and the director.
