On the second day of February, dozens of long tables were arranged in long rows in the open place selected by the “town” on duty.. Each household held rice wine in tin pots, decorated rice cakes with rape flowers, camellia and peach blossom. They were placed in front of the statue in good order. After the worship, everyone enjoyed good wine. Because “tin pot” is connected with “cherishing blessings”, it is also called “hundred blessings feast” in official publicity. Before the statue the Three Great Masters arrived at the collective worship site, the young man who raised the sedan chair had to perform “sedan chair fight”. The two men fought back and forth to turn the sedan chair. This was to make the God happy. “Hundreds Tin Pots Feast ” is popular in more than 10 villages around Shengping village, zhuotan Town, Changting County, Fujian Province. According to oral history, from the end of Ming Dynasty to the beginning of Qing Dynasty, the local people worshiped the Three Great Masters (Dingguang, Fuhu, Wengong) and the God of Grains. The nearby Hakka village with Shengping village as the center is divided into four areas (locally known as “town”) according to the village and surname, and the organization named “Peng” (literally means shed) in the “town” forms a system of taking turns to lead the Jiao Rite of Seedlings protection. “Town” is an organizational unit that takes both geography and population into account, while “shed” is a group organization that transcends clan.
