In the eve before his military service, he wandered through the streets of Taipei, spending his last night with his girlfriend who was about to leave the country. In this city, not just haircuts, hemorrhoids, or chance encounters with other boys troubled him, but also a faint lingering pain.

Young men who have lived for years on one side of the Taiwan Strait are constantly forced to face sudden ‘wars’ and threats in today’s instantaneous, speed-driven world. The young men in the film decide to resist the world with a slow, escapist comradery.
