Breakfast Room
WAN Qing • 2019
By tracing emotions in reverse, this film used the original family in Chongqing as a starting point to get involved in the weaving of local social network, and used community life practice in Guangzhou to interact and stimulate heterogeneous experiences, in order to explore how people across contexts can transcend the limitations of identity politics while building on individual experience, thereby achieving a more barrier-free way to perceive and promote each other.

WAN Qing
Director
Under the pressure of political depression (confusion and hardship) and community trauma (collapse of faith), I retreated to the once despised position - life, and re-explored the way and state of getting along and communicating with people of different backgrounds and values, and learned from nature the mechanism of interaction. Wanting to interact with the world in a different language was the motivation for creating it.
