The story revolves around Zhang Jinghui, a middle-aged man living in Macau, and a foreign migrant worker Dadu. The two men, with completely different skin colors and different races, are inextricably linked. One is a migrant worker who is in the "cold period"（Visa expires）, and the other man is in the "cold period" of his relationship with his father. The death of Dadu's father brought the two together. Although the language and experience may differ, the two people feel the most real emotions, affecting each other's path to redemption, allowing them to step through this emotional "cold river" together.
